Vintage Junya Watanabe turquoise, blue, black and yellow print sac shape dress from the Spring Summer 2016 Collection. Featuring an allover tribal geometric design, reminiscent of traditional African wax prints, the neckline features silver tone large scale metal chains which drape around the nape and front collar. After Watanabe's show at the National Museum of Immigration History in Paris, Vogue journalist Sarah Mower wondered if the collection "...was a commentary on fashion's long record of annexing the dress, art, and religious artifacts of "other" peoples?" Something to think about... This piece is labeled a Small as in excellent vintage condition.
